Hiadus...but new update?


Hello everyone, it has been TOO long since I've posted here.  And I've got good news and bad news.  Take your pick on what you read first.


GOOD NEWS:

I found a version of the game (1.52p) which is the most updated version of the game - although missing some features from the version before as things change over time, ideas get replaced, and struggles ensue.  You are welcome to play it and leave feedback as always!  Those of you who have seen the updated status will know that the game is currently on hold.  I apologize for this and my terrible lack of forward notice - I truly apologize.  However, by no means is this game dead.  I WILL revisit it.  100% guaranteed.  This is my city sim brainchild and despite a lack of progress in this project recently, it still shows promise and i plan to entertain that notion.

BAD NEWS:

This project is currently on hold for a while - until when I cannot say.  Life and school have flooded all my nooks and crannies.  Not to mention hitting some serious technical walls with this project (GPU  & CPU bottlenecks, issues with shaders, unsupported assets, and non-responsive asset authors.  My skills in the video game industry are almost entirely self taught ( 1 years teaching with 4+ years overal experience) and i cannot find a way around some of my biggest problems with this game.

I have just recently stumbled upon forums like PolyCount and Facebook groups like 10,000 hours and have realized how invaluable crowd-sourcing knowledge is.  With that being said, i have moved on to another project well within my scope and skill and significantly more personal to me.  Don't get me wrong, I love a city builder (over1000's of hours in Cities: Skylines and SimCity), but making a game close to my heart feels like the best use of my already limited time.  I hate to disappoint, but stuff happens.  I hope you understand.

FUTURE NEWS:

If you made it this far in the post, CONGRATS!  In the next coming weeks or so (time permitting) I plan on writing some posts about my issues and troubles with this project.  If solutions are found, i will write them down and revisit this game. I loved the idea, and the aesthetics SO much.  Currently, I'm working on a game about weird dreams and strange monsters in an adventure puzzle game called Cloak & The Mortal Perils.  I'd love for you t follow that project and continue to support me.  I am grateful for every view and download and hope for many more in the future.  #LongLiveTricity!

PS.  This isn't a photo from a built version, but this was the appearance of the game at the time I paused development.  It was with a very heavy heart that i decided to pause working on this.  So many hours.  So much stress :)
